]]> Coto Technology Introduces the B21C High Performance RF, Form C, ATE Relay, DC to 12 GHz http://www.testco-inc.com/posts/75/coto-technology-introduces-the-b21c-high-performance-rf--form-c--ate-relay--dc-to-12-ghz/ Mon, 22 Mar 2010 14:21:10 EST The B21C relay is a high-performance RF reed relay packaged with two separately fully shielded Form A channels.  Form C changeover mode is available by activating the appropriate channel coil.  Each channel transmits signals to 6 GHz at -1dB and 12 GHz at -3 d.  The open switch isolation is 21 dB at 1 GHz.  A custom designed internal bridge allows switching between low frequency sources such as parametric measurement units and high frequency digital test signals with minimal stub capacitance losses on the high frequency line.  Power consumption is less than 160 mW per channel, and the mean contact life exceeds one billion cycles at a 10V 10 mA hot-switched load.  The BGA package footprint is 10 mm x 12 mm, with a height of 4.3mm.

The new single- and dual-row Hi-Temp headers are offered to complement Sullins' full series of Hi-Temp dual-row card edge connectors which support an operating temperature range of -65 degrees C to +250 degrees C, and are provided in 0.039" (1.0 mm), 0.050" (1.27 mm), 0.100" (2.54 mm), 0.125" (3.18 mm) and 0.156 (3.96 mm) contact centerline versions. Engineered to provide unparalleled design flexibility and manufacturing efficiency, parts may be ordered in dip solder, wire wrap, right angle bend, and card extender termination styles, as well as in straight and right angle plated through hole (PTH) and surface mount (SMT) versions. Coto Technology's 9852 Form "C" SMD, ultra-miniature reed relay features longer life and optimized performance for ATE, Process Instrumentation and Telecommunications applications. Expected life is 200 million cycles (N/O contact), and 100 million (N/C) at 1V 10mA load. RF bandpass (-3dB) is 4GHz (N/O) or 3GHz (N/C). Isolation and return losses at 1 GHz are -10dB and -20dB respectively. An external magnetic shield reduces electromagnetic interaction between closely spaced relays. And, with a footprint of 0.078 sq. in., the 9852 is the smallest Form "C" SMD reed relay available in high-volume mass production. The 9852's combination of small size, long life and good RF bandpass is unattainable by electromechanical or micromachined relays. Gull-wing, "J"-lead or axial surface-mount styles are available.
